When Jesus was "Transfigured" on the mountain, one of the two people who spoke with Jesus was Moses. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD.19:9 And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. 4:21 And the LORD said unto Moses, When thou goest to return into Egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: but I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.4:22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel [is] my son, [even] my firstborn:4:23 And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, [even] thy firstborn.4:24 And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the LORD met him, and sought to kill him.4:25 Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast [it] at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband [art] thou to me.4:26 So he let him go: then she said, A bloody husband [thou art], because of the circumcision.4:27 And the LORD said to Aaron, Go into the wilderness to meet Moses. 16:1 And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which [is] between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt.16:2 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness:16:3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, [and] when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger.16:4 Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.16:5 And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare [that] which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily.16:6 And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then ye shall know that the LORD hath brought you out from the land of Egypt:16:7 And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the LORD; for that he heareth your murmurings against the LORD: and what [are] we, that ye murmur against us?16:8 And Moses said, [This shall be], when the LORD shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the LORD heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what [are] we? Moses, who was about to lead the circumcised people of Israel, had not yet circumcised his own son. Later, when the boy was older, his mother brought him back to Pharaohs daughter, who adopted him as her own son. 2:15 Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. By sheer determination he fought his way out, but in the light of his purpose the battle was an utter failure. Originally, it is inferred, Moses name was longer, but the deitys name was dropped. Moses returned to Egypt and persuaded the Hebrews to organize for a quick trip from their Egyptian slave drivers. This could have happened when Moses returned to his people or possibly even earlier, because the shortened form Mose was very popular at that time.
