I have followed her shows for years. She took the time to speak to everyone and also took the time so you could take a picture with her. I would love a copy of the Rest of the Story,,,,as finances allow I will proudly own one. I met her at the Sewing Expo in Puyallup, and was amazed at her beauty, kindness, and willingness to talk with people between classes in the hectic atmosphere of the event. Richard Zieman 5/29/04. Received a copy of Seams Unlikely when it first came out for my birthday (it came in the mail on my birthday! I cried my way through Seams Unlikely. She was a true reflection of faith. Nancy was a true inspiration that came into my home every week helping me develop new sewing or quilting skills. Nancy was a wonderful woman who shared her talents every week with all her sewing fans. Combining color and design in an easy to manage fashion. That too will become a part of my collection. I felt like I had lost a dear friend when I had actually never met her in person. I am 72 and would love to read both of the books. I had done hand sewing in the past but not machine sewing. Although she is missed, she lives on in each of us who remember and admired her. and many other items. I look forward to reading it. I would love to win a copy of the rest of the story! I have been sewing since I was a child and now sew with a couple of groups of women, for missions. I was privileged to meet Nancy 25 years ago when she visited my neighbors home. I watched so many of her shows and I also like those who commented learned so much. She was genuine, humble, and a very lovely true lady. She encouraged me to get into sewing; engage in sewing for charity, myself and for others. I think of her often as I quilt and sew. I so miss her but we have all those wonderful shows to watch to help keep her with us! Nancy was a great influence to the sewing/quilting world and I still enjoy watching her tutorials, etc. I retired as a hospice nurse 3 1/2 years ago and yet was heartbroken to read of her death after her brave battle with cancer. She was a teacher, innovator, and a role model for business women. I think of her sometimes when I am sewing or embroidering, she was a very smart lady and overcame a lot.
