The CCMS tablets produced a greater decrease in body weight, body mass index, organ index, body fat, proportion of fat to body weight, and serum lipids, relative to capsaicin alone. We investigated the bioavailability of capsaicin in nude mice after oral administration. They were housed in autoclaved cages with ad libitum access to food and water in HEPA-filtered racks and closely monitored by animal facility staff.
